The average age of our fleet is 18 months ensuring hassle-free motoring. We are strategically placed in the heart of the Gold Coast and are on-site at all Queensland airports.

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (1.75% transaction fee applies).
The balance due will be secured at the time of pick up of your vehicle. The Supplier accepts cash, cheque and credit card (Visa and MasterCard) at this time (a 4.5% surcharge applies to all credit card transactions). A credit card imprint is required as security.
Cancellation or 'No Show'
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable, the below fees apply in addition to this:
All cancellations made outside of 6 days before travel date and time will incur a $100 cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 6 days of pick up or no show incur full costs for the total value of the rental.
No show customers are liable for the full value of the rental
Airport Service: We are on-site at all Queensland airports.
Hours of Operation
Monday-Sunday: 7am - 6pm
After Hours: All rentals that commence after 6pm and before 7am Monday to Sunday will attract a collection fee of $75.00 and a return fee of $50.00. As we service all flights at all Airports in South East Queensland, this fee contributes towards additional costs.
Christmas Day Surcharge: Should you wish to collect or return your vehicle on Christmas day (25th December), a surcharge of AU100.00 will apply. This is a compulsory charge and if you do not select it (from the extras menu) at the time of booking it will automatically be added to your final balance, payable on arrival.
One-way rentals: Available free between Gold Coast and Brisbane Airports if you rent any vehicle for a period of 5 days or more.
Drivers License: We ask that you produce a current Australian, overseas or international drivers license that has been held for a minimum of three years and reflects the equivalent of an open class license. The minimum age is 21 years.
Young Drivers: If you are aged 21-24 years, a compulsory young drivers surcharge is applicable. Please select this during the booking process. If you do not select this at time of booking it will automatically be added to your final balance payable on collection. Note that the excess increases to $5000 for all young drivers.
Additional Drivers: Any additional drivers must be nominated on the rental agreement and an additional fee of AUD4.00 per day applies. This fee is compulsory and if not selected at the time of booking, will be automatically applied to your balance on arrival.
All additional drivers must be nominated and the appropriate box selected at the time of making your reservation. Failure to select this option will result in the appropriate fee of $4.00 per day for the duration of any hiring automatically applied and payable on the commencement of your hire. This additional fee applies to drivers over the age of 25. In the case of additional drivers being under the age of 25 but over the age of 21 the additional driver fee applies in addition to the applicable age excess for younger drivers. Also note the excess for drivers under the age of 25 is $5000.00.
Customers who nominate additional drivers are responsible for ensuring they have selected the correct options at making the time of their booking as any refusal to pay the additional applicable fees at the time of commencement of your hiring will be considered a termination of your rental agreement and you will be held accountable for the full balance of the booking.
These additional fees are to cover additional insurance costs as any driver not nominated in the event of an incident will not be covered by Insurance and it may be considered illegal use of a motor vehicle.
Rates: Are subject to change without notice. All vehicles may not be available at all times and geographical driving restrictions may apply. Similar models may be substituted. Please enquire for full details on rates and conditions.
Taxes: Unlike other car rental organizations we include all taxes in the daily rate. GST, State Tax and Airport Tax if applicable.
Child Seats: Approved child seats are available. Baby seats and booster seats are available for $6.50 and $4.50 per day respectively.
Toll Pass: $6.50 per day – As many toll roads in South East Queensland are now cashless Action Rent A Car are proud to announce an option to supply a toll pass for the duration of your rental for only $6.50 giving you unlimited use and, more importantly, eliminating any fees/fines/charges up to $55.00 for each unpaid toll.
Insurance: Subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement being met, comprehensive insurance cover is included in the daily rate, subject to an excess for the first incident or any damage arising from the hire. The excess may be reduced by payment of an excess waiver fee (ref below). In the event of a second incident or further damage the excess will revert to the standard applicable excess as below.
Area of Use
Unlimited mileage to within 250 kilometer radius of Brisbane Airport (should you wish to take your vehicle further, a one off fee of $140.00 will apply, please select this at time of booking or it will be automatically added to your final balance payable on arrival).
Taking vehicles out of the 250 kilometer area of use is not guaranteed and must be accepted by the supplier.
Under no circumstances are vehicles to be taken off sealed bitumen roadways or to leave the Mainland. In the event a vehicle is taken off road it will be deemed a breach of contract and any insurance will be considered null and void.
Single Vehicle Excess: In the event of any damage as a result of a single vehicle incident, however caused, the applicable excess defaults to the standard excess rate as below. This excess may be applied at the discretion of management.
NOTE: All renters must hold an open Drivers License, credit card and be over 21 years of age

NB: If you hire the 7 seater SUV, please be aware that it can be utilised as EITHER a 5 passenger wagon with luggage space for 5 bags OR as a people mover with a 7 passenger capacity but extremely limited luggage space. If you are unable to take the vehicle on arrival due to excess luggage then a cancellation fee of up to the full amount of the hire will be applicable.
Amendment to bookings
A compulsory surcharge of $35 will be applied for per amendment for confirmed bookings.

The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
